Week 10: Post 2

The target audience for Brightwork is those within the classical music realm. Since the ensemble plays contemporary music, it is critical to cater to the composers who get commissioned, arts groups and venues that look to book performances, fellow musicians to get general social media buzz, and then branching out to listeners.

I would be interested in creating a section on giving feedback to other ensembles in contemporary classical music. This would open up the communication and establish connections.
Another topic would be featuring the composers Brightwork is zeroing in on. Not only will this help the composers trying to make it, it will give a more comprehensive look into what goes into running and being a part of a performing ensemble.

Having these categories will help Brightwork get more media attention thus translating to concert ticket sales, other artists and composers seeking to work with Brightwork, as well as venues, and will provide more stability for the ensemble musicians so they can perform 100% and not have to worry about the coordinating and marketing aspects this class is teaching me.
